For the first time, Madrid has entered the top 10 of the arbitration seats preferred by the Latin American and Caribbean regions according to the latest survey by the School of International Arbitration (SIA) of the Queen Mary University of London. These results showcase the increase in reputation and popularity of Madrid as a seat for arbitration and is proof of the efforts made by the Spanish arbitration community in promoting international arbitration and the impact of the Constitutional Court doctrine initiated in its judgment of June 15th 2020.

At MIAC (CIAM) we are very proud to join these efforts, since our foundation a year ago, and we celebrate these encouraging results.

Por primera vez, Madrid ha entrado en el top 10 de las sedes arbitrales preferidas por América Latina y el Caribe, según la última encuesta de la Escuela de Arbitraje Internacional (SIA) de la Universidad Queen Mary de Londres. Estos resultados muestran el aumento de reputación y popularidad de Madrid como sede del arbitraje y es una prueba de los esfuerzos realizados por la comunidad arbitral española en la promoción del arbitraje internacional y el impacto de la doctrina del Tribunal Constitucional iniciada en su sentencia de 15 de junio de 2020.
